The Philly Inquirer's Bob Brookover muses the Eagles could have some interest in Panthers DE Julius Peppers when free agency begins March 5th, one month from this Friday. Packers S Nick Collins is also mentioned as a target. The Eagles struggled to replace Brian Dawkins this past year.
The NY Daily News' Ralph Vacchiano writes that the Giants could be looking to rebuild the spine of their defense, which sagged badly in '09, despite the additions of DTs Rocky Bernard and Chris Canty. S Kenny Phillips and MLB Antonio Pierce may be lost to free agency or injury. The team may also look to again bolster the DT position, if rush tackle Barry Cofield leaves.
